SECTOR

AI visibility for New Zealand cosmetic clinics

AI shows a source more often in cosmetic and aesthetic medicine than in any sector we measure. Nearly four in five mentions come with a source attached, against about half in real estate.

When AI names a clinic here, it is usually willing to say why. That makes the sector unusually winnable for a clinic with a well built site.

Clinics are quoted directly, not through a directory

The sites AI points at most here are the clinic websites themselves. Unlike private healthcare, where a directory dominates, or real estate, where a review site does, cosmetic medicine answers come from the clinics people are asking about.

Your own site is the asset. There is nothing standing between it and the answer.

Every sector we measure, ranked. A lower number means the two answers name almost entirely different businesses, so a business has to be won twice.

What we ran

Five treatment areas with 28 questions each: anti wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, laser skin treatment, body contouring and cosmetic surgery. Put to five AI tools, both ways, across 18 New Zealand locations.

What this means if you run a clinic

At 78 percent, AI clearly wants a source here, and it will use yours if it is clear enough to quote. Pages that answer a treatment question directly, with the detail a patient actually asks for, are what get picked up.

The 10 percent match is the other half of the job. A clinic that wins the searched answer is usually missing from the remembered one, and the other way round.
